A Charming Retreat with Room for Improvement
My partner and I enjoyed our stay in the deluxe double room—spacious and comfortable. The young staff, while friendly, lacked experience. management visibility could boost confidence. Lock issues were concerning for security, so solo travelers should take heed. On-site dining provided good options, enhancing our experience.

We had a blast with friends playing darts and billiards! The rooms were super modern and cozy. Free parking was a huge plus. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Be ready for a lively atmosphere with locals!
The evening staff could've been a bit more attentive, but they were busy, so it wasn't a big deal.

Impressive food and cozy atmosphere
I had a wonderful stay with cozy room accommodations that felt modern and inviting. The food quality was impressive, especially the generous breakfast options including freshly made dishes. Interacting with locals during pub quiz night added a fun twist to the experience. One improvement would be to enhance the attentiveness of evening staff, as I noticed they seemed a bit overwhelmed.

The pillows were a bit too thick for my liking, but that's a minor detail.

This was just a proper fit for a weekend rest in Alfreton with all in all brilliant value for money. I appreciated the staff's help in bringing me soup late at night after the kitchen closure when I was starving from travel. Pro tip, Check kitchen opening hours if you're arriving late.
